i miss sailing

going through some old photos in my computer, trying to create more space in the Hard Drive, i came across some old sports images. and i found this.
i miss sailing very very very very very very very much.
in fact, i just realised, that ALL my childhood was spent at sea, well, up till i was 20 years. Just 7 years ago. i was so tanned, people at the markets used to think that i was my mother's new domestic help. Yes. I miss the experiences it brought and the lessons that came along with it. I miss my team mates, growing up together at the beach and dreading waking up every morning for training, then loving every minute of it when it was over. We travelled the world because of sports. Greece, Spain, Denmark, Belgium, Kiel, Menorca, Australia, China, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand. I miss the competition, the warm crates of coke that we got shipped along with our dinghies in 20ft containers, because coke was our sponsor, only to find out how ironic it all was because we were not allowed to drink too much coke, or the caffine level would cause us to be disqualified when doped.
Will upload more pictures of our good ol' days when i get home and do some scanning. And i guess i will have to pen down some thank yous to people who supported me all those years. It's about time now that i pay my dues. In the mean time, here's a shot of my team mates, back in Busan at the Asian Games, Roy and Da hui during a training session. They are sailing on what we call the 420 (read 4-twenty) dinghy. I was there for work, not as an athelete.
